Since childhood I could be found with a pencil in my hand and at school my favourite lesson was art. As I grew up I would paint in watercolours progressing onto pastel portraiture which I did for many years before returning to landscape watercolours.
I then discovered the wonder of clay and began to sculpt under the tuition of Jane Jones at West Street Potters. Then by chance I had the chance of purchasing a second hand potters wheel and I was hooked.
I mix all my own glazes from scratch with chemical powders which necessitates wearing a mask - which I hate.
I am a member of the Farnborough Craft Guild and the Surrey Artists Open Studio.
